Henrietta, N.Y. – It may be pumpkin season, but at RIT you couldn’t carve or eat what was being sold on campus Saturday.

Bright, colorful, hand-blown glass pumpkins were sold, ranging from $10-$400 apiece.

“People seem to love the glass pumpkins and they love to come here and apparently buy them because they sell very quickly,” said Bette Rogers of the Women’s Council of RIT.

Part of the proceeds from the eighth annual Glass Pumpkin Patch fundraiser raises money for women’s scholarships.

The Women’s Council says the sale raised about $25,000 Saturday.
