Rochester, N.Y. - Governor Andrew Cuomo and Lieutenant Governor Bob Duffy rallied voters in Rochester on Friday.

They endorsed and stumped for Democratic Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and Kathy Hochul, who are both in close races.

The governor is usually very reserved and selective in his political endorsements and involvement in campaigns. He has always strived for that bipartisanship label and has thus far steered clear of endorsements in any state races here in New York.

But Friday, Slaughter and Hochul were pleased to share the stage with these popular politicians.

Of course, approval ratings are always a motivating factor in political endorsements. Republican Maggie Brooks - Slaughter's opponent - has received the endorsements of Congressman John Boehner and Eric Cantor of the Republican House.
