U.S./Rochester, N.Y. – Commercials which air during the Super Bowl sometimes get more attention than the big game itself.

An ad by a group to which Rochester’s mayor belongs is already turning heads.

The spot by, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” features children as it advocates for universal background checks for gun purchases.

Mayor Tom Richards is one of the 850 members of “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” but he does not appear in the ad.

The commercial airs during the third quarter of the Super Bowl. You can also watch it here online.
