Henrietta, N.Y. -- A Rochester man accused in a 2008 hotel slaying was found guilty Friday.

Preston Carter, 28, was charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of Joel Greenberg at the Extended Stay Hotel off Jefferson Road.

Police have never released the circumstances surrounding Greenberg's death, but say he had severe upper body trauma. Investigators believe he may have arranged to meet someone at the hotel.

Carter was identified early on in the investigation as a suspect.

He faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison at sentencing.
