Rochester, N.Y. - Jurors convicted a 35-year-old man in a 2006 home invasion and rape of a woman in Rochester.

On Thursday, Ronell McFadden was found guilty of 1st Degree Rape and 1st Degree Criminal Sex Act for the crime that happened in May 2006 on Ambrose Street.

McFadden forced his way into the victim’s home where the victim and her baby were sleeping, threatening them both with a knife before raping her.

Authorities say the victim, a single mother, was not able to get a clear look at her attacker, but a Combined DNA Index System hit later identified McFadden as her assailant. He was forced to submit a DNA sample following an arrest on another charge.

McFadden will be sentenced on March 7.

He faces 25 years for each charge against him.
