Hornell, N.Y. -- Hornell's champion high school football team will be back on the field next school year.
The school budget passed in May did not include any funding for athletics, music and other extra curricular activities.
Tuesday night, voters approved a proposition that restores funding for those programs.
Because the tax increase would exceed the two percent cap, the budget needed at least 60% approval. It got 64%.
Residents will see a six percent increase in the tax levy as a result.
