Italy, N.Y.- A man from Irondequoit is in Strong Memorial Hospital after he was shot while hunting in Yates County over the weekend.
Police say Daniel Leach, 59, was hunting in the Town of Italy Saturday when he was accidentally shot by a member of his hunting party.
Leach was airlifted to the hospital. He is in guarded condition.
The Department of Environmental Conservation Police is investigating.
