If your interested in seeing the International Space Station (ISS) you’ll have opportunities through the weekend on Saturday and Sunday night.
WNY weather will cooperate with high pressure in firm control, Saturday night we expect mainly clear skies.
The first opportunity to see the space station will be around 9:40pm Saturday night.
The station will be very low on the horizon and will appear in the west sky, moving toward the south southwest. The total duration of viewing is around 3 minutes. The station is easily viewable, even in bright artificial light near the city.
The second opportunity will take place on Sunday at around 8:52pm. This sighting will last 4 minutes and will also be very close to the horizon. You’ll need a wide open field for the best viewing on both nights. Look west and track the station to the south southeast for the second chance.
