Irondequoit, N.Y. -- So much for a delay;
Irondequoit’s I-Square project is back on a week after its developer said he had temporarily suspended it.
“We’re dead set on getting this project done. We don’t want to ruffle any feathers, but we want to get this project done,” Mike Nolan said.
Following a planning board meeting last week where the board took no action to approve or deny the continuation of I-Square, Nolan complained of a slow process.
Town Planning Board member Jay Ricci said the board had no choice but to take no action last week.
“There was no legal way we could take action,” said Ricci.
Among the unresolved issues: drawings didn’t have an engineer’s stamp, according to Ricci.
Nolan said he must reach agreement on a side parking lot used by the House of Guitars, but expects to be ready for the town board at its next meeting, scheduled for February 13th.
