Lima, N.Y. - A man from Lima is charged with grand larceny, accused of stealing two steers from a local farm.

Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies charged Jeffrey Button, 41, with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Authorities received a complaint last week from a man who said two steers were missing from his farm in Lima. The animals are valued at more than $4,000.

Police say Button is accused of stealing the animals on November 8 and selling them at auction for over $2,000.

Button was arrested Monday in the Village of Perry.
