Rochester, N.Y. - Two Rochester jewelry shops are teaming up to help support the families of the victims of the Christmas Eve shooting in Webster.
Called the Boot Your Gold campaign, the effort allows people to drop off unwanted gold or loose jewelry to area shops. The jewelry will then be assessed, with the proceeds going to the victims' families.
Mann's Jewelers at 2945 Monroe Avenue and Charisma Jewelers at 2330 Ridge Road West will serve as collection points.
The campaign runs from January 21st through February 2nd.
Checks will also be accepted and can be made out to the West Webster Fire Association (reference memory of 12/24/12). Individual tax receipts will not be provided, however the West
Webster Fire Association is a 501 (c) (3) organization.
