Rochester, N.Y. - A teen driver indicted on several felony charges after an October crash left several of his passengers seriously injured, pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.

John Zakhary, 16, was indicted on assault, reckless driving and several traffic violations by a grand jury.

Zakhary slammed into the back of a school bus on Warren Avenue in Brighton in October, seriously injuring three of his passengers.

He was released from custody but on several conditions, including surrendering his junior license.

If convicted, Zakhary faces up to 7 years in prison.

He will be back in court February 21.
