Rochester, N.Y. - Rochester Police said a K-9 officer helped them catch a burglary suspect hiding in the basement of an apartment complex.
John Vogler, 32, is charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny.
Police officers responded to a burglary in progress call at the apartment complex at 450 Oxford Street around 3:30 a.m. Monday.
When they arrived one of the building’s tenants said he heard someone outside of his door going through his belongings and then contacted 911.
Police said K-9 officer Tim Waterman searched the building and found Vogler with the stolen property.
Police said Vogler was hiding and refused to come out when police called to him. The K9 assisted in taking him into custody.
