Rochester, N.Y. – A routine moving to college trip was anything but that for one Connecticut family, heading to RIT this weekend.
During the trip the family heard noises coming from their BMW.
They stopped at a Henrietta auto body shop to have it checked out.
When crews got under the car they found where the noise was coming from - a kitten was stowed away in an area above the gas tank.
The kitten, which has since been named Connecticut, was taken to Lollypop Farm in Fairport. Staff says she’s a little under weight but otherwise seems to be a healthy six-week-old.
Connecticut has made leaps and bounds since her arrival at Lollypop Farms, according to staff. She was scared of people when she first arrived and is slowly getting more comfortable with being held.
It will still be a few weeks she’s ready for adoption, as she needs to gain some weight – but that’s not stopping people from wanting to take her home.
Lollypop Farm has already received a number of calls from people looking to adopt the stowaway kitty.
