Rochester, N.Y. - Kodak is being sued for patent infringement.

Japan's Kyocera Corp. alleges that the photography giant infringed more than a dozen U.S. patents with its printers and digital cameras.

Kyocera is seeking an unspecified amount of damages from Kodak, which has been struggling to pay back creditors since filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last January.

Several tech giants, including Google, Apple, Facebook and Microsoft bought Kodak's digital imaging patent portfolio in December for $525 million.

Kodak initially sought millions for the patents, as it desperately needed the cash to pay back creditors.

The company hopes to emerge from bankruptcy this year.
