Fairport, N.Y. – A fundraiser was held for Mackenzie Murphy on Sunday to help raise money for the Brain Injury Association of New York State.

Murphy is a teenager who survived a stroke about a year ago.  The funds raised at the tournament on Sunday were in her honor and were donated to the charity.

“She [Mackenzie] wanted to raise money for Brain Injury Association.  They come into schools and other organizations to help students and teachers better understand brain injury” said Christine Lasher, Murphy’s mom.
