Rochester, N.Y.- Rochester Police are investigating the death of a man found under a trailer in the city Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Red Wing Plaza on North Clinton Avenue, just past Norton Street, just after 9:00 a.m.
Rey Casillas discovered the body. The local businessman says he first saw the victim a week ago sleeping under the trailer and realized he was homeless. Rey says he and his wife were trying to get help for the man and get him into a shelter, but they didn't get there on time.
Others who knew the man say he didn't want to go to a shelter becaue he felt comfortable living on the street.
Rochester Police say they don't know if the man was homeless or if his death was due to natural causes, exposure or something else.
They are calling this an unattended death.
The man has not been identified yet.
