Manchester, N.Y.- A grandmother and grandson from Shortsville died in a fiery crash Wednesday morning in Ontario County.
The Sheriff’s Office said Andrew Maslyn, 25, was driving north on State Route 21 just before 11 a.m. His grandmother, Rosemarie Langdon, 72, was in the passenger seat.
"I'm devastated, I'm stunned. I don't know what to do right now," said Edward Langdon, son of Rosmarie Langdon and uncle of Maslyn.
Deputies say the vehicle left the road, crossed a field, hit a house porch on Onondaga Lane, then hit the neighbor's home in the Friendly Village mobile home park.
"It's just awful, it's a very sad feeling, it's hard to explain, but it's just incredible," explained Vance Kannapel whose mother, Norma was in the mobile home that suffered extensive damage.
Norma Kannapel was unharmed, but the family considers her house a total loss.
Both Maslyn and Langdon were trapped in the car, which caught on fire. Sheriff's deputies believe the victims were dead before the fire started.
The vehicle's occupants were trapped for more than an hour because the car was pinned under the home's foundation.
Both bodies were taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.
Deputies have not ruled out the possibilty that Maslyn had a medical condition which may have contributed to the crash.
