SRC Development Group, LLC Statement:

This world class mixed use project, featuring retail, residential, restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues, will be the largest and most expensive development in Monroe County history.

This is an extremely complex venture, but there are several highlights. We have already invested $93 million inthis project. To complete this development, we will invest more than $750 million and create over 11,000 construction jobs over four years and over 3,600 permanent full-time equivalent jobs.

We are hard at work on a number of potential financing models for the pubic purpose infrastructure components, includingone, which involves an incremental sales tax financing plan. But thatmodel is only one of several we are exploring.

We remain committed to working together with our elected officials on the , State ,local and Federal levels to create a project unlike anything else in upstate New York, one which will create jobs and State, County and Federal tax revenues and provide nationally-recognized shopping, living and entertainment opportunities.

I certainly hope someone in Albany has the guts to say this idea is dead. This guy has strung the town of Irondequoit along for years, not meeting commitments and refusing to pay the penalties for that failure. Now he wants a quarter billion dollars of *our* money paid in sales tax to pay off his construction loans. Especially at a time when budget constraints threaten services for the old, ill and disabled giving away tax money to this individual in this way is outrageous. How many police positions will we lose? How many firefighters? How many parks close? I have a better idea - find a way to take the property away from this guy and find someone with better ideas and *funding*.
