CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - A preliminary hearing is under way Monday in Colorado for James Holmes, the man accused of killing 12 people and wounding at least 58 others in a shooting at a movie theater in a Denver suburb in July.
The hearing is aimed at letting a judge determine if there's enough evidence to proceed -- but it could also clear the way for a plea deal.
Survivors and relatives of the victims are expected to attend. The hearing could last all week.
