Geneva, N.Y. -- Nine people were arrested on Friday for various drug arrests, according to the Geneva Police department.
Police say “Operation Clean Sweep” was a two-day operation done by the Geneva police and their drug enforcement team to minimize the amount of drugs being sold on the streets.
The Geneva police department has spent the last 11 months targeting anyone selling narcotics on the streets of Geneva.
Nine people were arrested yesterday as part of the operation, according to police.
Albert Slaughter, 61, Juan Carlos Ortiz, 36, Donnie Woody, 22, Mark Spencer Jr., 29, Jose Concepcion-Flores, 21, Steven Cruz-Figueroa, 20 and Steven Sciarabba, 32, were all arrested with charged of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd, according to police.
Police say they also arrested Armeal Whitfield, 32, for a parole warrant and Syriena Vazques, 19, for obstructing governmental administration.
