Rochester, N.Y. – A police cruiser was hit around 8:30 p.m. Friday evening on South Goodman Street and Harvard Street.
The impact of the crash pushed the cruiser onto the curb of the street.
The officer was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, but is not believed to have suffered serious injuries.
South Goodman Street was closed for an hour after the accident.
The driver and a passenger in the car that collided with the cruiser were not hurt. The driver was ticketed for failure to yield.
