Rochester, N.Y.- Rochester Police are searching for the person who shot a man on Avenue D Wednesday night.
Arturo Cabrera, 28, flagged down police officers around 8:40 p.m. and said he was walking on Avenue D when he was approached by a stranger.
The victim said they exchanged words and the suspect shot the victim in his lower torso.
The suspect took off before officers arrived.
Carbrera was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
