New York, N.Y. -- Lifetime TV will be in court Thursday to appeal a decision banning the network from airing a movie about convicted murderer Christopher Porco.
Christopher Porco earlier this week won a decision to block the airing of "Romeo Killer: The Christopher Porco Story."
Porco is a former University of Rochester student. In 2004, he killed his father and injured his mother in their suburban Albany home. He claims the movie is a "substantially fictionalized account."
Lifetime has countered that "the essential elements of the movie are true and accurate and based on court and police records, interviews with persons involved, and historical and other documents."
