Rochester, N.Y. – The U.S. Postal Service is asking customers for their assistance in dealing with Friday’s snowstorm.

It’s asking customers to clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, porches and areas around mailboxes, in order for mail carriers to safely deliver to homes and businesses.

“Slips, trips and falls continue to be most frequent type of injury sustained by our carriers,” said Julieann Morgan, Western New York District safety manager. “And it’s no surprise these type of injuries increase drastically during the winter months.”
