Rochester, N.Y. – The Salvation Army has been raising money for their “Red Kettle” campaign throughout the month of December.
The organization, which was hoping to reach a $560,000 dollars, has almost met its goal. As of Friday, the organization has raised over $529,000.
The organization says demand for services in this area has grown more than 20 percent since 2011.
The Salvation Army says it will accept donations online, or by check, through Dec. 31.
