London -- Some of the world's best performers gathered at Buckingham Palace Thursday as part of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Celebration. Churchville native and world famous opera singer Renee Fleming was among them.
Fleming sang, "Un Bel Di Vedremo," an aria from the Italian opera Madame Butterfly. She was accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Later, the soprano performed a duet with English tenor Alfie Bowe atop the balcony at Buckingham Palace. The pair sang, "Somewhere," from the musical West Side Story.
It's the same spot where Prince William and his bride Catherine shared their first public kiss as husband and wife.
Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox were among Fleming's fellow performers.
ABC will air highlights from the Jubilee Concert Tuesday night. The two-hour special will be hosted by Katie Couric and includes backstage interviews with some of the stars. It begins at 9 p.m.
