Penfield Man Facing Arson Charges

Rochester, N.Y. - A Penfield man is facing arson charges for a fire in the city last month.

Police say Andrzej Gierczak, 61, set fire to an occupied home at 593 Emerson Street in Rochester.

The two-family residence was extensively damaged.

Gierczak is being held in the Monroe County Jail.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Rochester City Court on Friday.
