Rochester Well-Represented At Oscars

(Hollywood/Rochester, N.Y.) - Rochester was well-represented at the Annual Academy Awards Sunday night in Hollywood.

Three Rochester Institute of Technology alumni played roles in "Life of Pi" taking home the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.

Scott Vosbury, Rich Enders and Jen Stratton helped create the digital version of the tiger in the film.

Fairport native Andrea Nix Fine won for Best Documentary Short.

Nix and her husband directed "Inocente."

Philip Seymour Hoffman, another Fairport native, came up short in his bid for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The Master," losing to Christoph Waltz in "Django Unchained."
