Rochester, N.Y. – Police have not released the name of a man killed over the weekend, but family says he's 29-year-old Stephen Cobb.
"He wasn't a violent person; he was a very loving person,” Stephen’s father Tommie Cobb said.
"He was a great, he was a great guy,” Stephen’s sister Shekia Cobb said. “He was sweet, he was kind, and he worked hard. He not only was a great son, a great brother, but a great father and a great uncle."
Stephen had a four-year-old daughter.
"It's going to be hard to tell her because she really loves her daddy,” Shekia Cobb said.
Stephen worked at St. Ann's and had dreams of becoming a nurse. A dream that fell short Saturday night when police found Cobb shot in his car outside the Main and King grocery store.
The news of his death rocked the Cobb family to their core.
"I don't know who in their right mind would kill him,” Shekia Cobb said. “Hurt him is one thing, but they killed him, he's not coming back. All we have is memories and that's not right. No one deserves to die for nothing."
The family says someone knows something and they will not stop fighting for justice.
"I urge anyone with any information that knows of this crime to come forward and speak to the police,” Tommie Cobb said.
Rochester Police say someone was seen fleeing the scene of the crime but there are no suspects in custody.
