Irondequoit, N.Y. – Monroe County fire investigators say they have closed the case on the fire that destroyed Irondequoit’s salt barn on June 1.
They say they were unable to determine a cause.
As the fire spread, witnesses heard small blasts inside the barn.
Investigators say they’re not certain what caused the popping, but said aerosol cans explode during fires.
