Rochester, N.Y. - It appears the lakeshore suffered minor damage following last night's storm. Our reporter on the scene reports of minor water damage in homes, trees town and some power outages.
The residents in about 2,250 homes along the shoreline were notified Monday night that they should evacuate for their own safety.
Police went door-to-door to notify residents; 911 called residents to notify affected homeowners as well.
Rochester Mayor Tom Richards also issued evacuation orders for 90 homes in the city.
The evacuation order was signed Monday night at 8 p.m.
The Greece command center told 13WHAM News they knocked on about 95% of the home effected.
They say most chose to stay and those who didn't went to Greece Olympia.

RTS Buses transported people to shelters from these pickup points: Town Halls: Hamlin, Parma, Greece, Irondequoit, Webster; Schools: Charlotte High School.
Nursing Homes in evacuation zone were exempt from evacuation order. They are Edna Tina Wilson Living Center and Shore Winds Nursing Home.
