Pittsford, N.Y. – Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies ticketed two drivers involved in a head-on crash Monday involving a Pittsford school bus and a pick-up truck.

It happened at the intersection of Thornell and West Bloomfield Roads. A third vehicle then hit the pickup truck.

Police say the school bus driver, Edward Walsh, 71, of Greece, was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way. The driver of the pick-up truck, Anthony Marcoccia, 47, of Pittsford, was ticketed for driving without a license.

Marcoccia was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries following the accident. As of Tuesday afternoon, he was listed in guarded condition.

No one else was hurt.

No children were on the school bus at the time.
