Rochester, N.Y. -- Rochester police say a man who was shot multiple times Monday night is expected to survive.

Police were called to the 600 block of Joseph Avenue just before 8 p.m. for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found shell casings, but no victims.

A short time later, they were alerted by Rochester General Hospital that a shooting victim had arrived in a private vehicle.
