Rochester, N.Y. -- Rochester police say a man who was shot multiple times Monday night is expected to survive.
Police were called to the 600 block of Joseph Avenue just before 8 p.m. for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found shell casings, but no victims.
A short time later, they were alerted by Rochester General Hospital that a shooting victim had arrived in a private vehicle.
Police say the victim is a 36-year-old man who does not live in the city. A second victim was allegedly pistol-whipped.
Police do not have any suspects in custody and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
