Seneca Falls, N.Y.- The FAA is investigating a small plane crash in Seneca County.

Sunday morning, a plane crashed on a grass runway just west of Farron Road in the Town of Seneca Falls.

The plane, a 1971 Cessna 150 Single Engine Fixed Wing, was being piloted by Allen Staff, 49, of Penn Yan.

Authorities say Staff was attempting to land when the high winds forced the plane to the ground.

The plane struck the ground nose first on the edge of the runway next to a corn field.

Both Staff and his passenger, Suzanne Parker, 50, of Geneva were not hurt.
