Plenty of fun videos and pictures have been coming in Tuesday.
The topic of many of these pictures has been the wind and snow combination that produced ‘Snow Rollers’ across WNY.
When the area has high winds and freshly fallen powdery snow with a temperature slightly above freezing the snow will start to roll.
As the snow rolls it accumulates more powdery and light snow that can roll into a giant ball. Today’s snow rollers are about 3-6” in size for most open areas.
Snow rollers in mountainous areas of the United States can grow to 1-2 feet in size!
Send us your photos today and we’ll add them to the collection. Let’s see who has the biggest ‘Roller’ around. You can email us at news@13wham.com.
