Clarendon, N.Y. - A snowmobile driver is in guarded condition after crashing head-on into a car.
The accident happened Friday night in the Town of Clarendon around 8:30 p.m. Orleans County officials said 35-year old Steven Belknap of Holley was driving his snowmobile the wrong way when he collided head-on with a car.
Belknap was thrown off his machine and was taken to Strong Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Belknap is facing charges of driving a snowmobile on a public highway and driving a snowmobile while intoxicated.
