Pittsford, N.Y. – A fundraiser that 25 kids put together took place in Pittsford on Sunday.
The fundraiser provided a package from Bruegger’s Bagels that included bagels, cream cheese and other goods. People were able to pay $15 to come pick up the bag or pay $20 to have the bag delivered to their house.
Parents helped the kids as they put this fundraiser together, but Jennie Schaff, a parent organizer, said that anything the kids could do, they did.
“It’s remarkable to see the energy of these kids wanting to help,” Schaff said. “It’s incredible to watch a community willing to help make their dream happen.”
All of the supplies were donated, so all of the money collected from the fundraiser will go toward helping those in need after Sandy.
