(CNN) - Advertisers are paying top dollar for Super Bowl commercials this year.

The price of a 30-second spot has hit a record high of at least four-million dollars. A spokesman for C-B-S, which is broadcasting the big game at the Superdome in New Orleans, says in some cases, advertisers will pay more than that.

This year's price tag beats last year's record, when N-B-C Sports charged an average of three-and-a-half million dollars. Pepsico, Audi, GoDaddy, Hyundai and Skechers say they've bought time during this year's game, which is on February 3rd.
