Chili, N.Y. - It's not easy to learn to ride a bike and it's not a lesson all kids get at home.
That's where Churchville-Chili Physical Education Teacher Greg Kincaid comes in.
Kincaid teaches students to ride a bike. They arrive at school early a few times a week and can get lessons for several weeks or even months, if they need it.
So far, Kincaid has taught around 10 students how to ride a bike.
He says it's rewarding to teach a child a skill they will have for the rest of their life.
Right now Kincaid is working with 8-year-old Lauren Delgudico. Lauren says she also gets help from her parents.
She says it was hard at first, but her persistence has paid off.
Lauren says after lessons through the end of the school year, she will be riding on her own.
Kincaid, who teaches at the Chestnut Ridge Elementary School, says the goal is for all students in the district to learn to ride a bike by 5th grade.
Lauren is well on her way.
