A flood advisory is in effect for Wayne County until 6:45pm. An urban and small stream flood advisory is in effect for Monroe, Wayne, Orleans, and Genesee Counties until 6:30pm.

Heavy rainfall from the remains of tropical storm Isaac could cause poor drainage flooding this evening. Radar estimates place 1-2" of rain already across some regions in WNY with additional rain expected through Tuesday evening.

The rest of the afternoon and evening will be mainly gray as some of the tropical remains of Isaac draw closer to CNY. Limited breaks of hazy sun will be possible.

The temperature and humidity levels will feel more like mid summer, area temperatures will be well above normal through Thursday.

We expect the increasing threat of a shower or thunderstorm through the afternoon and evening. Some brief heavy downpours will be possible in this incredibly humid air.

At this point we don't expect any severe weather due to the extensive cloud cover across WNY. Any evening thundershowers will fade overnight with partial clearing after midnight. The low will only reach the upper 60s.

The start of Wednesday looks dry for the first day back to school. Get out the shorts and tee shirt with partly sunny skies and a high in the mid 80s.

A small threat of showers still exists for areas south of Rochester. Thursday will remain warm with the slight risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon as a cold front crosses WNY.

Friday looks seasonable and a bit cooler with a high in the mid 70s.
