Rochester, N.Y. – A major change in the weather could be seen and heard around the area Saturday.
A thunderstorm rolled through the region, dumping some much-needed rain. The storm also produced ominous-looking clouds.
The storms brought down trees and power lines in Genesee County, knocking out power to hundreds of customers. In Batavia, a car was crushed when a lightning strike took down an old tree on Ross St.
A cold front pushing to the south will usher in some cooler and drier air with a return to a fair amount of sunshine on Sunday. It is expected to be cooler, with highs in the upper 70s to 80 degrees.
