Perinton, N.Y. – Police are investigating an unattended death in Perinton.

East Rochester firefighters were called to a home on Fairport Road around 9 a.m. Saturday for smoke coming from the roof.

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say one person was found dead inside the house.

The death is being investigated, as is the cause of the fire.
