Rochester, N.Y. – The Seneca Park Zoo announced Friday that its oldest animal, a 48-year-old male king vulture, has died.
The vulture, named Heathcliff, came to the zoo in 1967. Experts believe that the vulture died from kidney failure.
Heathcliff was one of the three oldest male king vultures living in an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited zoo.
