Gates, N.Y. – Local car washes were fairly busy Sunday, as many drivers took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather.
Temperatures reached a record-high 69 degrees Sunday, after hitting 58 Saturday.
The warm weekend marked a perfect opportunity for drivers to wash the recently accumulated salt off their cars and enjoy two days that felt like spring.
"I’m just enjoying the sun that we don't usually see this time in January,” said Dan Forquell of Rochester. “Especially this type of weather."
