Manchester, N.Y.- A woman was struck and killed by a truck while walking home from the store in Ontario County Monday.
The accident happened around noon on Route 21 in Manchester.
Deputies said Isrido Ramirez, 57, was traveling north on Route 21, when he crossed the center of the highway. Investigators said Ramirez's vehicle hit a truck pulling a flatbed trailer. The impact of the crash sent the trailer off the road, and it hit Tabitha Harris, 35, who was walking along the road.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ramirez was charged with failure to keep right.
Route 21 was closed for about two and a half hours, but is now back open to traffic.
