Brighton, N.Y. – An early morning fire destroyed Woody’s II sports bar in Brighton.
West Brighton firefighters responded to the fire just before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. Heavy flames and smoke were coming from the roof of the restaurant when firefighters arrived.
The fire took over two hours to be brought under control. The building has been ruled a total loss.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arson investigators are looking in to what caused the fire, but it is unclear if it is considered suspicious at this time.
No one was inside the restaurant at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured.
