Walworth, N.Y. – There was ceremony on Sunday that dedicated a playing field at Dolomite Park to Thomas A. Palmer.
Palmer was a youth sports coach for football and lacrosse in Gananda and Penfield.
"Tom was really, he inspired people, his dedication, his love, his passion for the games of lacrosse and football, and just what he brought out to the field everyday. When he coached it just meant so much to this community," said John Walier, president of gananda youth football and cheerleading
Palmer, who was 49, drowned in Canandaigua Lake earlier this year.
