Herkimer, N.Y. (AP) — More information is coming out on the six men shot by a gunman who opened fire inside two businesses in neighboring villages.

Among the four killed Wednesday morning are a veteran prison guard, a retired correction officer and a car care worker who played guitar at his local church.

Michael Renshaw and Thomas Stefka were killed at Jaffey's Fast Lube and Car Wash in Herkimer. Renshaw was a 23-year employee of the state corrections department who worked at Mid-State Correctional Facility near Utica. Stefka worked at Jaffey's and attended Mohawk Reform Church, where he played guitar during services.

The other two men were killed minutes earlier at John's Barber Shop in Mohawk: 68-year-old Harry Montgomery and 57-year-old Michael Ransear, a retired prison guard. The shop's owner and another customer were wounded.
