Syracuse, N.Y. (AP) - The organizers of the New York State Fair say they're looking into limiting outdoor smoking because of complaints from visitors.
Fair Director Dan O'Hara said they'll look at how other family venues deal with the problem, consider the views of smokers and possibly take some action before next year's event.
The fair bans smoking indoors under state law, but there are large outdoor public spaces where smokers can light up legally.
O'Hara says it's a complicated issue that may involve a variety of options.
